PERHAPS bolstered by events in the Middle East where some regimes have collapsed under the weight of chaos and street protests, a group of secessionist diehards this week sought to pull a surprise in the Caprivi Region.
The group approached the police with a view to orchestrate chaos under the cover of a demonstration to demand secession for the Caprivi Region, as well as an end to the ongoing treason trial of members of a rag-tag army known as the Caprivi Liberation Army (CLA), under Mishake Muyongo, that tried to dismember the Caprivi through force of arms.
